Our solo practice is a small, personalized, caring, friendly alternative to large multi-provider pediatric gastroenterology practices. All outpatients are seen in one office. New patients (younger than 22 years) are given one hour appointments and follow-up patients are given half hour appointments. Dr. Sirlin performs all procedures, which normally can be scheduled within a three week period. Results of laboratory, radiologic and pathology reports are relayed to families promptly. Our staff becomes familiar with patients and their families so that it is hoped that no one feels they are part of a system in which waiting time for appointments, returned phone calls, or prescription refills is unreasonable. Written reports regarding each patient visit are forwarded to referring doctors and, if desired, to any other doctor or allied health professional that cares for your child. A copy of this report is also sent to the child's family. Furthermore, our practice has liaisons with surgeons, allergists, psychologists, registered dieticians, speech pathologists, and other specialists whose input might benefit our patients. Finally, Dr. Sirlin and one of the office staff speak fluent Spanish.
